CITY TOUR
Visit through the city of Cuenca, also called the "Athens of Ecuador", with a stop at the Calderon park, the Old and New Cathedrals, the Flowers park, the City Museum and the Modern Art Museum. During the tour you will also enjoy a brief visit to the Cañari-Inca Ruins of "Todo los Santos" and have a last stop at the rivers gorge of Tomebamba and Turi from where you will appreciate a wonderful panoramic view of Cuenca.
Half day tour in the morning
INGAPIRCA
Departure from Cuenca travelling north for about two hours to the Inca Ruins of Ingapirca, the biggest archaeological Inca complex of Ecuador. The ruins date from the 15 th and 16 th Century. On the way, you will observe typical handcrafts from the region, but above all, the Panama Hats Fabrics. On Sundays you will also visit the Handcraft Market of Cañar. And after the excursion, you will enjoy a typical meal from the region of Cuenca.
We arrive back to Cuenca in the late afternoon.
GUALACEO AND CHORDELEG
Departure from Cuenca toward the two small villages of Gualaceo and Chordeleg.
Those villages are well known for their numerous handcrafts:
Gualaceo for its fine woven and embroidered textiles, leatherwork and ceramics.
Chordeleg for craft hunters in an array of talents and materials such as silver, Panama hats, pottery, gold Filigree and wood crafts. During the excursion you will also visit the Fabrics of Bulcay and the CIDAP Museum.
We arrive back to Cuenca in the late afternoon.
CAJAS NATIONAL PARK
DDeparture from Cuenca toward the National Park and Reserve of Cajas where you will find about 270 lakes and 200 lagoons. During the excursion, you will arrive to the continental division of waters, have a short walk through the primary forest in which you will observe the amazing variety of Fauna and Flora of the region.
We arrive back to Cuenca in the late afternoon.
